In 2016, as a first-time mom, I had a fairy-tale idea of what my nursery was going to look like. Unfortunately, the more I shopped around the more I realised my dream nursery was totally out of my budget – being an interior designer this was almost unthinkable, so I browsed from shop to shop... for months.

I finally settled for a pine cot that I re-painted white. I convinced myself that it would do. It was however old fashioned and far too big for the room (or my garage!) and it never stopped bothering me. How was it that there was not a stylish, yet affordable cot on the market for moms like myself? There must be hundreds of us… and so Minimilestones was born.

I started with rough prototypes that I tested on my own and my friends’ kids to make sure that it worked hard and looked even better. My aim was to create baby furniture that was affordable, beautiful and practical. It has been quite a journey, but the results speak for themselves.

 

Note: I have since ‘retired’ every single piece of baby furniture that was either an eyesore or just impractical, and replaced it with my own designs I am, to say the least, far happier with my home and hope you will be also 😊
